Its been ages since we last had a family outing cum gathering. Everytime something is planned there would always be one family who won't be able to make it. It is kinda difficult for us too especially cos our off days don't coincide with the rest of the people. We don't even get to enjoy certain public holidays. We only have FRIDAYS to ourselves.

Luckily last friday being teacher's day and a school holiday finally everyone was free. So we took off to sentosa for a picnic at the newly renovated palawan beach which I don't really see what extensive renovations they made except for maybe the new HUGE sheltered parking lot, toilets,the new kiddie pool,the new 7-11 store,a beach wear store and a cafe.

The only thing that I find most appealing was the toliets! Its super clean,HUGE and get this... it's got mass rain showers where there's no partitions for you to shower for those daring ones la of course who don't mind sharing their boobies and butts BUT for the not so daring ones you can always wait for the very long queue to the shower stalls.And the roof is a bit translucent so you can actually see peacocks roaming on top of you. Cool aye?

We went potluck just to be fair to my mum-in-law who as usual wanted to cook the food all by herself eventhough she is tired and we do not want to tire herself out on her off day. Me and Malique took the easy way out by volounteering to bring the drinks..heh (malas ah nak masak). So there was maggi goreng,chicken wings(yur typical picnic food), crackers(another picnic food) and not forgetting nasi lemak! yes yes OUR NASI LEMAK (which we ended up giving to this malay family cos all of us were kinda jelak and full eating all the other junk)

So then the kids went swimming,played with the sand while the daddies and uncles went berserk playing football and acting like kids and the mummies and aunties rilek one corner yakking away.

I don't normally like our beaches because its not as clean and doesn't have white pristine sand like other beach destinations but I must say sentosa beaches are an exception. Wouldn't mind crossing over every weekend for a beach getaway...
